I have a passion for programming and open source in general. I want to use that passion to become a part of this greater community that makes the building blocks for many other systems. I have a bachelors degree in computer science from Kennesaw State University and I am working on a Masters in Computer science from Georgia Southern University. The first language I learned was Java and I feel comfortable in a Java environment. I am going out of my comfort zone lately to learn a lot more about C and C++ (Especially in a Linux/Unix environment). Currently I am taking a Parallel Algorithm Design course that is based entirely in C in a unix environment (POSIX threads and soon OpenMP). I started using Linux 2-3 years ago and have completely fallen in love with it.
