bio
I'm an Israeli software developer, essayist and writer. I like to work on web-sites and on programs, especially open-source programs. I've learned BASIC on DOS in 1987, learned C in 1992ish, and became introduced to the world of UNIX and Perl on 1996ish, and finally understood why DOS and Windows were bad. I've been contributing to open source software and to web-sites - more information on my web-site.

Projects
A solver for the ABC Path game, as featured on http://www.brainbashers.com/abcpath.asp
I've created the initial version of the project and I'm its lead developer.
Catable is short for "Catalyst Blog Engine" and is an open-source (MIT/X11-licensed) blog engine based on Perl 5, Catalyst, DBIx::Class and other Modern Perl technologies.
I'm a co-founder of the project and an active maintainer.
The Perl Beginners Site aims to be the premiere first-stop portal for Perl beginners. It is actively maintained, contains a lot of useful links, text and information, and its contents and source code are fully open and free under the Creative Commons Attribution licence.
I've created the Perl beginners site and I'm still the most active maintainer.
An open-source library (along with some accompanying command-line programs) that automatically solves layouts of Freecell and similar variants of Card Solitaire such as Eight Off, Forecell and Seahaven Towers, as well as Simple Simon boards. Freecell Solver is free and open source software freely available under the MIT/X11 License. It is written in ANSI C and requires a C compiler to be built. Nevertheless, binaries for Microsoft Windows 32-bit are available.
I have written and published the first release of Freecell Solver, and have been the main developer up to and including version 3.0.0.
