Fedora is a Linux-based operating system that showcases the latest in free and open source software. Fedora is always free for anyone to use, modify, and distribute. It is built by people across the globe who work together as a community: the Fedora Project. The Fedora Project is open and anyone is welcome to join.

The Fedora Project is out front for you, leading the advancement of free, open software and content.

Ambassador - Fedora Ambassadors are users, contributors, and professionals who go places where other Linux users, contributors, and potential users/contributors gather. Ambassadors share information about not only the Fedora distribution, but the Fedora Project and The Open Source Way. Ambassadors help to grow their local open source communities, seek to form relationships with universities who want to teach open source, and recruit new contributors to the Fedora Project.

Marketing - The Fedora Marketing Team develops and executes marketing strategies to promote the usage and support of Fedora worldwide. Through the development of processes and content, this project aims to support the efforts of other Fedora projects to spread Fedora and to provide a central repository of ideas and information that can be used to deliver Fedora to new audiences. We work closely with the Fedora Ambassadors who spread the word about Fedora at events and allow the Fedora Project to interact directly with its existing and prospective users.
