Personal information collection

OpenHatch may collect and use the following kinds of personal information:

  • information about your use of this website (including everything you volunteer for, all of the projects you add, and login details).
  • information that you provide using for the purpose of registering with the website;  and any other information that you send to OpenHatch.

Network privacy

We use Google Analytics to track website usage. You can read their privacy policy to learn how to opt out.

This website has optional Transport Layer Security (TLS, also known as SSL). To make sure you are using OpenHatch via SSL, look for https in your web browser's address bar. The security benefits of SSL are somewhat nuanced, so we are just writing this here so you know about the option.

Using personal information

We publish daily snapshots of a subset of the data within OpenHatch. We've tried to ensure that they only contain information that is visible on the website. The idea is that with this information, anyone can take our code and re-generate every public page on the website. This does mean that if you remove data from the website, information from the public part of your profile will remain in the old snapshots.

Securing your data
