Q: I'd like to participate. How do I begin?

Start using it for your own FOSS projects and tell us what you think - is it a good idea, what needs improvement, how can you help. It would be great if you can subscribe to the mailing list users@bountyfunding.org. Any help is appreciated - discussing foss and crowdfunding, coding, writing plugins for different issue trackers and payment gateways, testing.

Q: What is a bug or issue with BountyFunding that you've been putting off, neglecting, or just plain avoiding?
About BountyFunding
BountyFunding is a crowdfunding platform specifically created for free / open source software projects. It provides software users with the opportunity to personally influence a project’s direction by sponsoring the individual features or bugfixes that are most important to them. It provides developers and other contributors with an extra source of income, allowing them to dedicate more time and resources to the project.
BountyFunding is decentralised by design – this means we actively encourage free / open source projects to run their own platform instance, which then naturally integrate with their existing issue tracker. BountyFunding itself is a free / open source software and is licensed under AGPL.
BountyFunding currently integrates with Trac issue tracker and Paypal payment gateway. More plugins like Redmine and Github integration or Bitcoin payment are coming soon.
Every month I pledge up to 50 euros for BountyFunding development, split between two or three easy to pick-up tasks. More details on the project website.
