About Elephant's Eye

(logo)

I want to develop an mobile app which would allow people to report where they see ivory for sale. The mobile app should have a way of you entering the name and address of the establishment that is selling ivory, and a searchable database of all establishments reported.
Because there is no way to determine if ivory has come into the country legally or legally, reporting all establishments with ivory for sale will allow people to make an informed discussion about where to shop and also put pressure on the establishment to not sale ivory at all. Over 35,000 are killed each year and the numbers are growing. If we don't stem the tide, elephants will become extinct within the next decade. The US is second to China in illegal ivory trade.
