Q: I'd like to participate. How do I begin?

Take a look at http://wiki.growstuff.org and get an idea of what we do.
If you're a coder or would like to be: http://wiki.growstuff.org/index.php/Development_process_overview describes our development process. Read through that, join our mailing list and/or IRC channel, and put your hand up to work on our next iteration!
If you're a gardener: we want you to help us understand what you want from Growstuff. If you like, you can take a turn at being our official "customer" and reviewing/approving our work, or just join the mailing list/IRC and talk to us about your wants/needs.

Q: Other than writing code, how can I contribute?
-
0Gardening knowledge
If you grow food, we'd love to talk to you about how you do it, and how you might use Growstuff. Tell us about what tools/resources you use to track your garden at present, what works and what doesn't, what you wish existed.

0Acceptance testing
Each iteration we have a handful of people acting as "customers" to review, test, and (hopefully) approve the work we've done. Anyone who is interested in using the site can sign up as a customer, and we're particularly interested in people with a wide range of devices, including mobile (phones, tablets), and people with accessibility needs such as those who use screenreaders.
