Q: Other than writing code, how can I contribute?

0Analyse and address some potential pitfalls of crowdsourcing
1. Added costs to bring a project to an acceptable conclusion.
2. Increased likelihood that a crowdsourced project will fail due to lack of monetary motivation, too few participants, lower quality of work, lack of personal interest in the project, global language barriers, or difficulty managing a large-scale, crowdsourced project.
3. Below-market wages or no wages at all.
4. No written contracts, non-disclosure agreements, or employee agreements or agreeable terms with crowdsourced employees.
5. Difficulties maintaining a working relationship with crowdsourced workers throughout the duration of a project.
6. Susceptibility to faulty results caused by targeted, malicious work efforts.

0Conceptualize the reward structure
Need to conceptualize how rewards are going to work and present a good model for interaction.

0Use the URLFriendly function to rewrite the titles for use in a URL
We have a URLFriendly function that takes in a title and returns a "URL friendly" version of the title. We need to start utilizing that function when rewriting titles, for more details see the ticket: http://www.assembla.com/spaces/mydevarmy/tickets/9-add-a-urlfriendlytitle-in-the-coresponding-tables

Q: What is a bug or issue with MyDevArmy that you've been putting off, neglecting, or just plain avoiding?
-
0Always wanted to add more login options
It's actually an important issue, it's just that it's not in the critical path of the development cycle. We have OpenID login with MyOpenID so we're happy for now, but adding Yahoo, Google and Facebook logins is expected to increase the number of new users.
