Q: Other than writing code, how can I contribute?
-
0documentation, testing, bugs
Helping with the docs can be as simple as reading them and letting me know what's unclear or what you'd like to see explained.
Testing just means using it! If you want, you can also write more formal unit tests.
Check out the bug tracker at https://github.com/Scriptor/pharen/issues. You can try to repeat a problem someone is having or give your two cents on a suggested feature.

Q: What's a good bug for a newcomer to tackle?
-
0Write a small app
The best thing a newcomer can do is write a simple app in the Pharen language and tell me what problems you run into and what could be improved.

Q: What is a bug or issue with Pharen that you've been putting off, neglecting, or just plain avoiding?

0Deployment
An easy method needs to be created to go from developing an app using Pharen to deploying it. This would deal with all the dependencies that a Pharen project typically needs and package everything up into something that's as easy to deploy as regular PHP apps.

About Pharen
Lisp to PHP compiler. Takes source in a lisp dialect (also called Pharen) and outputs plain PHP code that you can then deploy wherever PHP works.
