0Create a logo!
The biggest thing that SNAILBot is missing is a logo. I was thinking maybe some kind of robotic snail, but I am not a graphic designer and so have been unable to contribute anything decent.

0Finish generalizing the code
SNAILBot was developed from ilbot, a logging bot written by, and specifically for, the Perl development channel. As such, there are still many Perl-specific hacks that exist (like certain hashcodes linking to their bugtracker). Some of these "features" have been extracted out and generalized for multiple channels, but there are a number that will require careful thought and analysis - as you may know, Perl is not known for it's comprehendability!

About SNAILBot
SNAILBot is a passive IRC logging bot. It is written in Perl; the IRC bot uses Bot::BasicBot for its low-level functions and logs all chat data to an external database (such as MySQL). The web frontend utilizes HTML::Template to format the data nicely.
