About open-broadcast-encoder
The Open Broadcast Encoder (OBE) is a project to create a fully functional Open Source Broadcast Encoder. It aims to be comparable with the top-end of broadcast encoders costing $50k+ each but runnable on commodity hardware. Many well known broadcasters around the world are planning to replace their legacy equipment with OBE. Some broadcasters/cable providers are helping develop the project.
