Get on the Pitivi IRC channel, get your development environment built, play with that version of Pitivi and see if there are things in particular you would like to fix. Otherwise, talk to us on IRC.

Q: What is a bug or issue with Pitivi that you've been putting off, neglecting, or just plain avoiding?

1Fading/transparency of overlayed clips causes black video
https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=644372
which seems to be caused by this:
https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=612797Which basically makes PitiVi unusable for anything other than cutting clips up and rearranging them. this single bug had been holding back all of my video projects for over a year. I love PiTiVi, and i'm committed to using it, but i can't!
