  Download the source code from github https://github.com/shogun-toolbox/shogun read the documentation http://www.shogun-toolbox.org/doc/en/current/ and then build your own shogun with the extension you are interested in following the developer tutorial http://www.shogun-toolbox.org/doc/en/current/developer_tutorial.html .
  
  It won't hurt to say hi on the mailinglist or irc channel (be patient please) and make your intentions public (mailinglist address and irc channel is listed under http://www.shogun-toolbox.org )
  
  If you don't know where to start - we track a collection of bugs using github issues https://github.com/shogun-toolbox/shogun/issues - maybe one is for you?

Q: What is a bug or issue with shogun machine learning toolbox that you've been putting off, neglecting, or just plain avoiding?

  Enhance SWIG
  
  Shogun relies heavily on swig (to generate bindings to various languages) - there are a number of known bugs in swig that cause e.g. the r_modular interface to fail and some twists that we would like to get rid of.
