Q: Other than writing code, how can I contribute?

1Write documentation
There are many documentation tasks to be performed for the w3af project. All of them are documented as tickets @ w3af's Trac:

1Fix thread dead-lock
There seems to be a thread dead-lock inside the framework's code, which simply blocks the whole scan process. We haven't been able to identify when/where it's blocking, thus fixing the issue is difficult.
You'll find more information here: https://sourceforge.net/apps/trac/w3af/ticket/159995

0HTTP Request Timeout
The framework has a global error counter, that's incremented every time an error like a HTTP request timeout occurs. In many websites we find that even tough the website is perfectly accessible with a browser, w3af will simply die with a w3afMustStopException that is raised after many consecutive timeout errors.
We haven't been able to find what's generating this issue. It might be related with the previous one, or not.
